A creative, child-centred approach was developed to make audiology appointments clearer and more reassuring for young patients and their families.

Working in collaboration with audiology staff, clinicians, children and families, and East Cheshire NHS Charity, I designed a child-friendly leaflet supported by accompanying animations and graphics. Informed by user feedback and common concerns, a fun space-themed concept with friendly alien characters was created to explain what to expect, help children understand the process and reassure them that their feelings were normal.

Additional downloadable resources were also developed, resulting in a clear, welcoming suite of materials that supports children emotionally and practically, helping to reduce anxiety and improve the overall experience for families.
