• I am pleased to announce Blue Seventy as my new wetsuit sponsor and I can’t wait to receive the new Helix wetsuit - The Triathlon Wetsuit of the Year 2007. I have been hearing from so many professionals how great the new suit is, especially the new women’s fit. I will let you know how the first test run goes! I have been a fan of their suits since the old days when the company was Ironman Wetsuits and have used their products since my first Ironman in 2000 so I am thrilled to be working with the team. You can check out their latest range and awesome results at www.blueseventy.com
•What a great weekend - I have just returned from Indonesia and the third running of the Aviva Bintan Triathlon. It was a successful weekend as I placed 3rd in my first triathlon of the season and I was really pleased as I have been focusing on Ironman training ready for Ironman France on 24th June so I wasn’t expecting much going into this Olympic distance triathlon against some good short course pro’s. The best part of the weekend was again watching all our clients finish the race and for many their first ever triathlon. Joss, Mike, Derek, Karen and David, who help me run the coaching program have done another great job and we want to thank CLSA Asia Pacific Markets for providing us with another great batch of newbies to train. Full results can be seen on www.bintantriathlon.com and this is definitely a race to put on your calendar.
• I am really excited to announce that Continental Tires will be sponsoring me for the 2007 Season. As many of you know, Continental are the leading tire manufacturer and still make the majority of their tires by hand in Germany offering superior quality. Not only are they the tire of choice for most professional cycling teams but also in triathlon and you can read the Hawaii Ironman 2006 Tire Survey where Continental once again take the number one spot. In addition, click here to read how to select your tires for the upcoming Phuket Triathlon and why tire selection is so important. Thanks to Richard Quinn for taking the time out during his holiday to put this together for us.
